Club Med Takes To The French Alps With a New Resort in Haute-Savoie

The pioneer of holiday villages, Club Med, has just opened its biggest upscale ski “resort” above Samoëns in Haute-Savoie, the French Alps.

Located on the Grand Massif of Samoëns Morillon, the Saix plateau overlooking the Haut-Giffre valley, at 1,600 meters above sea level, the resort offers a magnificent 360 degree panoramic view.

This brand new Club Med Resort boasts 420 rooms. Next year, 45 chalet-apartments will increase its capacity, which will bring its total to a whopping 1,100 beds. Although it cost nearly 100 million euros, the resort offers excellent value for money.

The “Samoëns Grand Massif” is a first step of a very competitive “snow” program for Club Med, since the group has planned to, from this year on, to open a new Resort per year in the Alps. The next will be inaugurated at Les Arcs.
