Paris has a brand new and instantly iconic perfume museum since December 2016: Le Grand Musée du Parfum.
Pillar of French history, heritage, and art of living, perfume has long been associated with France and French culture. So finally there is an emblematic place to visit and explore the universe of perfume, in Paris.
We find this special museum situated in the 8th arrondissement, housed in a ‘hôtel particulier’ in the chic Faubourg Saint-Honoré neighbourhood.
The Grand Musée du Parfum wants to offer everyone the opportunity to better understand the artistic intention of the perfumer and the creative process that follows.
The museum showcases the history of perfume, from ancient times to the present. Led by experts, scientists and artists, the museum has implemented a series of programs to take visitors on a journey dedicated to the heritage of Perfume. There also a section of the museum dedicated to the sense of smell and the (emotional) strength and importance of scents, where visitors can test their own senses, as well as a section dedicated to the perfumers’ art.
Open from Tuesday to Sunday 10:30am to 7:00pm and Friday nights until 10 pm
